Job summary

Terracon seeks a senior office manager to oversee an engineering consulting office, including profit/loss, supervision, project management and safety oversight. The role focuses on contract development, risk mitigation, and client relations to grow the office in line with the strategic plan.

The position emphasizes leadership, staff coordination, and ensuring quality control across projects while pursuing new business opportunities and managing resources efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years' practice experience or 12 years' related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a small office supporting one or more service lines.
• Review contracts and proposals prepared by office personnel.
• Monitor job status reports and coordinate projects with staff.
• May participate with corporate marketing to maintain client contacts for future development of new business.
• Grow office in accordance with the strategic plan and partner with leadership to expand services.
• Manage risk related to projects and ensure contracts are fully executed before starting work.
