Job summary

Terracon seeks an experienced office leader in Louisiana to direct a small engineering consulting office. You will manage projects, supervise staff, control budgets, ensure safety and quality, and develop client relationships for future business opportunities.

Responsibilities include reviewing contracts and proposals, coordinating with staff on project status, and partnering with regional leadership to grow the office in line with the strategic plan while mitigating risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering/construction management.
• Minimum 8 years of practice; if no degree, 12 years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license may be required to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct activities of the engineering office and staff.
• Manage projects, budget, safety, and quality control across service lines.
• Review contracts and proposals prepared by office personnel.
• Monitor project status and coordinate with staff to meet deadlines.
• Support business development and maintain client relationships.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to grow the office in line with the strategic plan.
• Manage risks, ensure contracts are executed, and enforce risk policies.
• Uphold safety rules and quality standards across the office.
