Job summary

Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc. seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead daily dock, freight, and terminal activities at our Philadelphia service center.

You will translate network strategy into execution, balancing throughput, costs, service quality, and compliance in a fast-paced LTL environment. You will supervise frontline teams, coordinate with linehaul contractors and internal teams, and drive safety, efficiency, and operational excellence while contributing to terminal profitability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1–2 years of relevant operations or logistics experience.
• Experience in transportation, LTL, warehouse, or service center operations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and evaluate team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dock operations including load planning, freight handling, and linehaul coordination.
• Ensure freight is processed accurately with proper routing, documentation, and data entry.
• Maintain high standards for load quality, minimizing damages, OS&D incidents, and rehandling.
• Step into operational roles—including forklift operations—when needed to maintain continuity.
• Partner with linehaul contractors, drivers, and internal teams to ensure seamless freight movement.
