Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily dock, freight, and terminal activities within a fast-paced LTL service center. You will translate network strategy into everyday execution, protect shipment integrity, optimize load flow, and uphold safety and compliance standards while driving terminal profitability.

You will supervise frontline teams, coach staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with linehaul and internal partners to deliver reliable service outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of relevant operations or logistics experience.
• Experience in transportation, LTL, warehouse, or service center operations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and evaluate team members.
• Strong working knowledge of safety protocols, compliance standards, and hazardous materials handling (Hazmat certification preferred).
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dock operations including load planning, freight handling, and linehaul coordination.
• Ensure freight is processed accurately with proper routing, documentation, and data entry.
• Maintain high standards for load quality, minimizing damages, OS&D incidents, and rehandling.
• Step into operational roles—including forklift operations—when needed to maintain continuity.
• Monitor daily operating costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and margin performance.
