Job summary

Aztec Shops, Ltd. at SDSU seeks an experienced Food Room Attendant Operations Lead to oversee day-to-day food service areas, ensure cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance across facilities.

You will manage a team including an Assistant Manager and crew, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate performance while coordinating contracts for janitorial and pest control, monitoring KPIs and inventory control, and supporting budgeting and risk management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; A.A. preferred but not required.
• At least two years in high-volume food service and one year supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, computer literacy, and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Food Room Attendant operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee janitorial and pest control contracts, monitor KPIs, and conduct inspections.
• Handle purchasing, budgeting support, inventory, and billing verification.
• Coordinate commercial solicitation processes and campus partner relations.
