Job summary

Aztec Shops Ltd. at San Diego State University is seeking an experienced operations supervisor to support the Unit Manager in delivering high-quality products and services.

You will oversee staff, plan schedules, monitor inventory, and help drive sales while maintaining excellent customer service and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include coordinating staff meetings, training crew leads, preparing daily sales reports, and ensuring proper product storage and rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1+ year experience in mid/high-volume convenience retail and/or supervisory experience.
• An Associate degree in Business or Retail experience is preferred.
• Food Handler’s certificate from the County of San Diego is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist unit manager with operations staff, including hiring, discipline, setting priorities and directing work assignments.
• Assist in preparing daily sales reports to determine profitability and adjust staffing/inventory accordingly.
• Plan and prepare work schedules and assign employees to duties.
• Assist in generating sales promotions and merchandising/stocking of location.
• Assist in daily unit operations to ensure quality products and services.
• Train crew leads on product storage and rotation.
• Check in deliveries for quality and accuracy.
• Resolve customer issues and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Supervise staff handling cash, inventories, and daily transactions; may perform subordinate duties.
• Develop relationships with customers, coworkers, vendors, and campus personnel.
