Job summary

DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist for a long-term contract in Rocky Mount, NC. The onsite role supports a high volume of Service Desk requests, including hardware installations, software support, and user data migrations.

The candidate will serve as a technical resource across IT teams, install and image computers, configure printers, and deploy business applications while maintaining up-to-date documentation and best practices.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in hardware, software, peripherals, and networking.
• 7 years installing and imaging computers and loading software.
• 7 years configuring local and network printers and peripherals.
• 7 years migrating data and user profiles.
• 7 years documenting technical support processes.
• 7 years using ServiceNow for ticket tracking.

Responsibilities

• Proactively build strong customer relationships and mentor others.
• Own customer problems and resolve incidents with urgency.
• Communicate progress to customers and teams.
• Provide updates to Support Specialists and Service Desk.
• Serve as a technical resource for complex problems.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve application and network issues.
• Install and image computers, load software, and deploy apps.
• Manage printers and peripherals; assist with data migrations.
• Stay current with technology trends and document procedures.
