Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking an experienced Field Services professional for the onsite desktop support role in Joplin, MO. This 6-month temporary assignment requires diagnosing complex hardware and OS incidents, deploying standardized images, and coordinating with service desk and network teams to ensure reliable workstation performance.

You will administer endpoint management, apply patches, monitor health dashboards, and document procedures for knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience.
• 8–10 years of desktop support or systems engineering in enterprise environments.
• Advanced proficiency in workstation OS, endpoint configuration and user profile management.
• Experience with software distribution, patch management and inventory across large user bases.
• Knowledge of endpoint protection, encryption policies and related security practices.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation for desktop tasks to improve efficiency.
• Clear communication with technical and nontechnical stakeholders about incidents and remediation.
• Willingness to work in an on-site office environment in Joplin, MO.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced desktop support on site by diagnosing hardware and OS incidents.
• Coordinate remote troubleshooting sessions to address software issues.
• Implement standardized desktop images and configuration baselines.
• Administer endpoint management to deploy software, patches and configurations.
• Monitor desktop health via dashboards and logs and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with service desk to handle escalations and guide resolutions.
• Document desktop procedures and resolution steps for knowledge sharing.
• Perform root cause analysis and remediation actions for recurring issues.
• Coordinate with network and application teams to validate connectivity and performance.
• Execute asset management tasks for workstation lifecycle and inventory.
• Support security initiatives and remediation of vulnerabilities identified internally.
• Engage with business users to optimize configurations and productivity.
• Evaluate new desktop tools and automation opportunities to streamline processes.
