Job summary

Axiom Technologies in Joplin, Missouri is seeking an on-site Desktop Support Engineer to provide first and second-level IT support for end users. You will triage tickets, coordinate with technicians, and maintain clear communication with users to ensure timely resolutions.

This role focuses on Windows desktops, hardware maintenance, printer support, and basic network troubleshooting, with on-site service delivery and no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

Proven experience supporting Windows desktop environments.
Hands-on troubleshooting for hardware, printers and peripherals.
Basic networking knowledge (LAN, switches, routers) and problem-solving.
Strong communication and customer service skills for on-site support.
Ability to work independently in on-site support environments.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
Troubleshoot and resolve Windows desktops, laptops, and peripheral issues.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, OS and enterprise software.
Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
Assist with device setup and hardware installations.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures during onsite tasks.
