Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite deskside support in Upper Gwynedd, PA. You will manage AV/VC equipment, conference room systems, and end‑user devices, ensuring minimal downtime and excellent service to executives and teams.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, communication, and experience with Teams, Zoom, Webex, and related collaboration tools. You will set up, test, and support meeting technologies and maintain asset records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of deskside/AV or conference room tech support.
• Experience with videoconferencing/collaboration platforms (Teams/Zoom/Webex).
• Strong knowledge of AV systems, conferencing tech, displays, projectors, and room control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite deskside support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and collaboration technologies.
• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot AV and videoconferencing equipment (projectors, displays, microphones, cameras, control systems).
• Deliver end-to-end videoconference support including setup, testing, and escalation management.
• Maintain conference room environments and ensure equipment readiness for meetings.
• Assist users with presentation tech (PowerPoint, screen sharing, wireless), and multimedia integrations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and asset management tasks.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, audio, video issues and coordinate with IT/vendors.
• Maintain accurate service tickets and asset lifecycle records.
• Generate reports on room utilization and maintenance status.
• Provide customer service and end-user training on collaboration technologies.
