Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs in a field/mobile setting. You will diagnose, repair, and test a range of truck systems, manage parts inventory, and document work using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role emphasizes safety, independence, and meeting productivity targets in a mobile environment with a strong focus on customer service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related field experience preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical compliance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Conduct minor electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs in field/mobile setting.
• Diagnose and repair engine, braking, cooling, and suspension systems.
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain daily logs and document RO details using TRAIT app.
• Source parts from approved vendors and manage inventory on truck.
