Job summary

Hobart Service is seeking a Service/Repair Technician 3 to provide on-site support for installation, maintenance and repair of commercial food equipment. The role requires electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, gas and HVACR troubleshooting expertise and the ability to read schematics.

The position involves a demanding schedule including on-call, after-hours, holidays and weekends, with travel to customer sites as needed and strict adherence to safety and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 4-7 years of food equipment service and/or 2-4 years HVACR service experience.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking and/or refrigeration equipment preferred.
• Industry certification is highly desirable (CFESA/NATE/Hobart; EPA) and applies to the role.

Responsibilities

• Installs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and/or refrigeration commercial food equipment and leads more advanced installs as needed.
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and/or refrigeration commercial food equipment for customers.
• Read and interpret schematic diagrams and follow sequence of operations for multiple modes.
• Complete preventative maintenance and document results on equipment.
• Promote safety programs and adhere to company policies.
