Job summary

Hobart Service is seeking a skilled Service/Repair Technician to install, diagnose, and repair commercial food equipment on-site for Hobart Service customers. The role includes on-call, after-hours, holiday, and weekend support to ensure customer equipment uptime.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical, electrical, and HVACR aptitude, can read schematics, and follows safety procedures. Travel may be required to service various sites and equipment."

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 4–7 years of food equipment service experience.
• 2–4 years HVACR service experience may substitute for some experience.
• Associates degree or vocational certificate preferred.
• Accredited Certified Technician (CFESA / NATE / Hobart) and EPA certification desirable.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot complex equipment.

Responsibilities

• Installs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and/or refrigeration commercial food equipment and plans and leads more advanced installs as needed.
• Maintains, diagnoses, and repairs equipment for customers on contract or time-and-material basis.
• Interprets and follows schematic diagrams accurately.
• Demonstrates knowledge of sequences of operations for multiple modes.
• Follows safety manuals and company procedures; maintains equipment knowledge.
