Job summary

ERM seeks a Lead Construction HSE Manager for an on-site role in Huntsville, AL, supporting a pharmaceutical megaproject. You will oversee a safety team, ensure compliance with regulations and ERM standards, and coordinate with Client Project Leaders and EPC teams.

The role requires extensive on-site experience in construction health and safety, robust leadership, and ability to manage multiple safety programs, audits, and incident investigations. Travel and full-time commitment are expected.

Qualifications

• 20 years on-site experience in construction health & safety
• Minimum 8 years of management experience
• OSHA 30-hour construction and related trainings preferred
• Experience with mega construction projects and safety programs
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Responsibilities

• Serve as Site Lead for HSE owner’s rep team and liaise with Client Project Leaders
• Guide HSE management system implementation and continuous improvement
• Coordinate with Client Project Leadership, EPC, and ERM PMO
• Lead risk assessments across all project phases and RCA debriefs
• Oversee environmental programs (SWPPP, SPCC, Hazardous Waste, Air Emissions)
• Organize HSE audits and inspections across project areas
• Report HSE performance and opportunities for improvement to Client/Contractor
• Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safety
