Job summary

ERM in Houston, TX is seeking a Construction Safety Manager (Field Based) to provide on-site EHS oversight for a key pharmaceutical client. You will observe construction activities, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and lead safety initiatives across owners, contractors, and subcontractors.

This full-time, 12-month assignment offers a challenging environment where you will train workers, document safety performance, and help maintain required records while traveling to multiple site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, safety, or related field.
• 3+ years of on-site construction health and safety experience.
• Certifications such as CHST, ASP, or CSP preferred.
• Experience with OSHA General Industry and Construction standards.
• Pharma or high-tech project experience desired.
• Ability to multitask and travel with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site observation of construction activities from an EHS perspective.
• Promote safety culture among owner, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Identify hazards and influence safe work practices.
• Maintain safety documentation (JHAs, SDS, toolbox talks).
• Train on-site workers and subcontractors on EHS requirements.
• Report on compliance with safety plans and directives.
• Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Review JHAs and obtain signatures before work.
