Job summary

Lilly's Medicine Foundry in Indianapolis seeks a Principal Scientist specializing in oligonucleotide process transfer and scale-up to deliver clinical supply readiness for early-phase trials.

You will oversee transfer from development to manufacturing, troubleshoot issues, scale-up methods, author technical docs, lead process improvements, and mentor junior staff while working in Indianapolis and Lebanon, IN with travel under 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or related field.
• 7+ years (MS) or 10+ years (BS) of oligonucleotide process development or manufacturing.
• Expertise in oligo synthesis, chromatography, TFF, and lyophilization.
• Strong data analysis and scientific troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transfer from development to manufacturing and troubleshoot production issues.
• Evaluate and scale-up synthesis and purification methods.
• Author technical documentation and lead process improvements.
• Support investigations and deviations.
• Mentor junior staff.
