Job summary

Lilly is seeking a highly motivated scientist to lead oligonucleotide process transfers from development to pilot plant operations at the Lebanon, Indiana site. You will shape strategy, drive scale-up, ensure plant readiness, and serve as a technical authority across unit operations.

Role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and proven experience in cGMP manufacturing for clinical supplies.

Qualifications

• PhD/MS/BS with extensive oligonucleotide process development or manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading technology transfer for oligo processes and cross-functional programs.
• Strong analytical, data interpretation, and root-cause analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy for oligonucleotide transfers across programs and plant readiness.
• Oversee scale-up of synthesis and purification from development to pilot scale.
• Act as technical authority on oligo unit operations and documentation practices.
• Collaborate with safety and process engineering to approve high-risk procedures.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
