Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide technical support and engineering expertise for oligonucleotide API manufacturing. The role involves front-line process engineering, sustaining knowledge, and driving optimization as the site scales to full GMP operations.

Responsibilities include on-floor ownership, qualification support, standards adherence, PSM/PHR engagement, and data-driven performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biochemical, or Mechanical Engineering and open English communication skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of GMP manufacturing experience on unit operations.
• Experience in process knowledge capture, documentation, and on-floor engineering activities.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team and support tech transfer during start-up.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front-line process engineer and equipment steward for oligonucleotide API supply with shop-floor presence.
• Capture and maintain process knowledge artifacts and understand equipment impacts on process parameters.
• Support equipment and process system qualification, verification testing, and return-to-service activities.
• Adhere to Engineering Standards and work with the Tech Center on design and specifications.
• Provide support for Process Safety Management and Process Hazard Reviews.
• Apply data-driven analysis to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and contribute to modelling.
• Support tech transfer and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.
