Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Indiana seeks an experienced scientist to lead oligonucleotide process transfers from development to manufacturing. You will guide kilo-scale operations, provide technical leadership, and ensure right-first-time clinical supply readiness across multiple programs.

Join a team building the Lilly Medicine Foundry, contributing to lifecycle improvements, while mentoring scientists and shaping cross-functional strategies with CMC, Product R&D, and Manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of oligonucleotide process (upstream or downstream) and analytical methods.
Proven ability to analyze data, perform root cause analysis and resolve complex challenges.
Excellent written and verbal communication in cross-functional environments.
Experience leading projects and mentoring scientists is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set strategy and direction for oligonucleotide process transfers across programs.
Define scale-up approaches for synthesis and purification methods.
Serve as technical authority on oligonucleotide operations and equipment.
Collaborate with safety and engineering to shape evaluation standards.
Translate analytical data into strategic recommendations for leadership.
Represent technical challenges to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
Develop plant readiness and lab trial frameworks for transfer success.
Own documentation quality, including tech transfer plans and batch records.
Drive process improvement and adoption of transformative technologies.
