Job summary

HNTB in Chicago, IL seeks a contract and project administrator to support field engineering on diverse infrastructure projects. You will assist the Resident Engineer or Project Manager with contract administration, interpretation of plans, and submittal reviews for compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining as-built records, tracking inspections, updating schedules and pay estimates, processing RFIs and change orders, and mentoring junior staff on project controls and documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant field experience.
Master's degree in Engineering preferred with related experience.
Doctorate in Engineering with relevant experience.
Professional certification (PE/CCM/ACI/PMP) preferred.
OSHA30 and safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer the construction contract in coordination with the Resident Engineer or Project Manager.
Interpret contract plans and specifications; review shop drawings and submittals for compliance.
Maintain as-built records, project files, and documentation databases.
Keep inspector's daily reports; review and approve monthly schedule submittals and pay estimates.
Process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project deliverables; monitor internal project controls.
Lead daily assignments, mentor staff, and support field engineering functions.
