Job summary

Eaton Corporation's North American Sales Division is seeking a Lead OEM Sales Engineer for a hybrid role based in New Orleans or Baton Rouge, LA. You will grow sales in electrical OEM segments, manage an assigned customer base, provide technical guidance, and build relationships with Eaton employees, specifiers and distributors.

You will develop and execute strategic plans, quote projects, prepare sales presentations and trainings, and drive demand through product understanding and awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of electrical sales experience.
• Relocation is not available; reside within 50‑mile radius of Baton Rouge or New Orleans.
• Eaton will not sponsor employment visas for this position.
• Preferred: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to meet performance and growth expectations.
• Quote projects and negotiate pricing agreements.
• Prepare sales presentations and training to create demand through product understanding.
• Build relationships with key customers to enhance long‑term business prospects.
• Work with factories to resolve technical issues and with customers on quality issues.
• Canvas the market to gain insight and adjust to pricing and delivery requirements.
• Assist team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions.
• Travel up to 25%.
