Saint-Gobain North America is seeking an Application Engineer III on the OEM Team to provide technical leadership for NA OEM customers. You will combine hands-on application engineering, customer engagement, and commercial insight to influence platform specs and solve manufacturing challenges.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product Management, R&D, Marketing, and Manufacturing to move projects from scope through testing, validation, implementation, and documentation, with travel about half the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Five or more years in abrasive application engineering or related field.
• Five or more years in Sales or Product Management with knowledge of abrasives.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex customer application projects: plan and execute evaluations, trials, and testing for OEMs and key accounts.
• Translate needs into solutions: define project requirements and align abrasive system recommendations with specs.
• Validate and communicate value: develop technical analyses and presentations showing performance, productivity, and quality gains.
• Build strategic customer relationships with end users, OEMs, and partners to identify opportunities and support growth.
• Shape technical strategy with senior leaders to defend, improve, and expand market share.
• Advance technology and capability: translate needs into new product characteristics and support IP generation.
• Develop others: train on abrasive products and application technology.
• Travel ~50% to customer sites, centers, OEMs, and meetings.
