Saint-Gobain is seeking a Solutions Application Engineer to serve as the technical interface among customers, sales, operations, and engineering. You will translate customer needs into engineered sealing solutions and support products through design and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate collaborates across departments, travels to customer sites, and applies strong engineering fundamentals with SolidWorks experience to meet diverse requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environments and customer-facing roles.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of design-for-manufacturability and sealing components.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with customers to understand application requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Develop designs, proposal drawings, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks.
• Serve as the primary technical resource during customer discussions, design reviews, and qualification activities.
• Work with Sales to develop business opportunities and support customer visits.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and meet customer requirements with Operations and Quality teams.
• Support DFMs, MRB, product improvements, and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate technical projects across multiple functions and locations.
• Travel to customer sites to provide technical support and strengthen relationships.
• Contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
