Job summary

LivePerson is seeking a Senior DevOps Lead for Observability to shape the next generation of logging, metrics, and tracing across cloud and on-prem environments. You will guide the design and operation of scalable pipelines and services, leveraging Elastic Cloud, Loki, Grafana, ELK, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to establish standards, dashboards, and proactive monitoring, while advancing a synthetic monitoring program on GCP Spot VMs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Extensive experience with Grafana, Zabbix, ELK, Kafka, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, operation, and improvement of observability platforms across logs, metrics, traces, alerting, and synthetic monitoring.
• Own and optimize large-scale telemetry pipelines processing high data volumes daily.
• Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based observability services using Helm, CI/CD, GCP, GKE, Docker.
• Define observability standards, dashboards, and onboarding resources for hundreds of engineers.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, Engineering, NOC, Security, and vendor teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Evaluate emerging observability technologies and drive adoption of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and proactive monitoring.
• Lead end-to-end Synthetic Monitoring platform development on GCP Spot VMs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across observability and cloud engineering.
