Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for Motors, responsible for analyzing field and warranty returns on EV/Hybrid motors and related components. You will perform teardown analyses, electrical tests, and NVH coordination with internal and external partners.

The role requires experience in motor failure analysis, insulation, winding, bearing conditions, and the ability to prepare technical reports for customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in quality engineering, failure/warranty analysis, or motor/auto powertrain.
• Knowledge of motor structure, windings, bearings, and NVH.
• Ability to diagnose using hardware tests, teardown, and data analysis.
• Strong communication for customer-facing reports and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Analyze field and warranty returns for EV/Hybrid motors.
• Perform visual inspection, electrical and insulation checks on motors.
• Coordinate teardown, NVH testing, and additional analyses as needed.
• Document failure evidence and root causes with technical reports.
• Communicate findings to customers and internal teams.
