Job summary

LG Electronics North America in Michigan is seeking an Electrical/ Electronics Engineer to lead warranty operations and quality improvements for e-PT components. You will analyze failures, manage test equipment, and coordinate containment actions with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities include APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, and PRR investigations, plus root-cause analysis, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with TS16949 quality systems. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of Electrical/Electronics Application or Test Engineering.
• Skill in Quality Engineering Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience in process improvement and quality engineering methodologies.
• Knowledge of TS16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, etc.
• Understanding of PCBA and ability to read electrical schematics.
• Ability to travel up to 10% to customers/warehouse.
• Independent judgment and discretion in job tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand or stoop as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage warranty center operations: shipping/receiving components and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain and manage test equipment (EOL, Charger/Discharger, Leak Tester).
• Oversee quality issues for e-PT components including RMA process.
• Analyze warranty claims to determine root causes.
• Perform teardown and failure analysis of returned products.
• Conduct SWAP testing with tracked removed parts with sub-suppliers.
• Lead APQP activities and coordinate PPAP documentation for customer approval.
• Lead containment actions for emerging quality issues.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams on quality concerns.
• Lead PRR investigations and prepare technical reports with recommendations.
• Report quality status using methodologies such as PRTS, 5 Phase, GQTS, 8D.
