Job summary

Harbinger Motors Inc. in the United States seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to own the engineering design of low voltage subsystems across their lifecycle, collaborating with Electrical, Software, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.

You will drive architecture, sourcing, validation, and production launches, guiding suppliers, managing DVPs, PPAPs, and ECOs to deliver robust, cost-efficient components for medium-duty EV platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automotive, or related field.
• 4+ years in product engineering or electrical/electromechanical design in automotive.
• Strong 3D CAD and PLM/BOM experience; ECAD like Capital or Zuken a plus.
• Experience writing specifications or RFQs and assessing supplier quality and cost.
• Solid knowledge of low-voltage electrical principles and automotive communication protocols (CAN/LIN/Auto Ethernet).
• Proven ability to manage multiple supplier relationships to deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication bridging hardware, software, and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Define subsystem architecture from requirements and set interfaces.
• Co-develop RFQs/SOWs with Supply Chain and evaluate suppliers.
• Lead design, guide suppliers to meet timing and quality.
• Document design iterations with 3D CAD and electrical specs.
• Support PPAP and Start of Production activities for components.
• Drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and functionality.
• Lead root-cause analysis for plant and field issues.
