Job summary

Amentum is seeking a PS Test Engineer to lead powertrain NVH testing for ICE, HEV, and BEV applications in Dearborn facilities. You will manage test plans, coordinate with test requesters, and drive data acquisition and analysis for lab and on-road testing across exhaust, driveline, and axle systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on test setup, debugging of dynos, and delivering timely reports while ensuring safety and quality standards in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering required, MS preferred.
• NVH testing and data analysis experience.
• NVH data acquisition and signal processing familiarity.
• ATI Vision familiarity and engine powertrain control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily test plan management and execution.
• Interface with Propulsion NVH test request organizations.
• Work with lab staff to carry out test plans.
• Support test bill of materials completeness and delivery.
• Participate in CAD reviews for test setups.
• Lead debugging of dyno rigs and ensure NVH data readiness.
• Document daily status and test delivery in checkpoint reviews.
• Organize lab test cell schedule and forecast.
• Drive efficiency of test infrastructure and major capital projects.
• Prepare documentation for senior management reviews.
• Adhere to Safety/Quality/Environmental requirements.
