Job summary

Harbinger, an American EV company, seeks a hands-on Electrical Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of electrical architecture, control systems, and components throughout life cycles. You will partner with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to define standards, investigate issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing or supplier quality for automotive/EV electrical systems.
• ASQ CQE/CQA/CQM or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2018 or IATF 16949.
• Proficiency with quality tools: QMS, audits, APQP, SPC, GR&R, PPAP, FMEA.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor electrical quality performance and escalate high-impact issues.
• Lead root cause analysis with cross-functional teams using data-driven methods.
• Drive continuous improvement across electrical design and manufacturing processes.
• Develop data-driven metrics for yields and corrective actions.
• Create tools to improve test coverage and scalability.
• Develop electrical quality standards, QC systems, and supplier quality protocols.
• Perform inspections and testing per specifications (Hi-Pot, continuity, resistance).
• Support assembly with electrical components and test equipment buyoff.
• Lead 8D/5-Why investigations and MRB meetings for EV systems.
• Participate in DFMEA/PFMEA design reviews to mitigate risks.
