Job summary

Harbinger Motors seeks a Field Quality Engineer for Vehicle Systems and Integration. You will diagnose complex faults across mechanical, electrical, and software domains, forecast potential failures, and drive actionable design improvements.

Use field data to guide reliability growth, work with hardware and software teams, and collaborate with service and manufacturing to close RCA/CAPA efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–10 years of experience in Field Quality, Reliability Engineering, or a highly technical Service Engineering role within the EV or automotive space.
• Strong proficiency in data management tools (SQL, Python, or specialized BI platforms).

Responsibilities

• Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting: act as the primary technical expert for diagnosing complex, systemic issues across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
• Predictive Reliability: use predictive reliability analysis to identify potential failure modes in the fleet.
• Product Reliability Engineering: partner with hardware and software teams to implement reliability growth plans.
• Data Management & Analytics: own the feedback loop, manage field performance data for engineering sprints.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with Service, Engineering, and Manufacturing to close RCA and CAPA.
