Global Engineering & Technology, Inc. (GET) seeks a Nuclear Weapons Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the DOE's Office of Classification in Germantown, Maryland. This is a 100% on-site role with relocation assistance possible for the Germantown area.

The candidate will provide expert advisory services on nuclear weapon science, lead groups, and develop policy and classification guidance in line with applicable laws and DOE procedures. U.S.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in nuclear engineering or physical science.
• Hands-on nuclear weapon science experience.
• Ability to read and understand written English at or above academic grade 15.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior DOE management on nuclear weapons-related technical issues.
• Lead working groups and develop white papers and presentations.
• Prepare classification guidance and declassification policy documents and guides in accordance with laws and DOE procedures.
