Job summary

Global Engineering & Technology, Inc. (GET) is seeking a Nuclear Weapons Subject Matter Expert to support the DOE’s Office of Classification in Germantown, Maryland. This on-site, long-term role requires expert knowledge in nuclear weapon science and U.S.

citizenship with a current DoD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance. The position offers relocation assistance for those outside the DMV and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, disability, life, AD&D, and a generous 401(k)

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in nuclear engineering or physical science.
• Hands-on nuclear weapon science experience.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills; reading level at or above academic grade 15.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior DOE management on SME issues related to nuclear weapons.
• Lead working groups and develop white papers and presentations.
• Prepare classification guidance and policy documents per DOE procedures.
