Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States seeks a senior structural engineer to lead design and analysis for nuclear facilities. You will mentor engineers, interface with multi-discipline teams, and guide deliverables for safety-related structures.

You will apply expertise in materials, structural analysis, steel and concrete design, perform complex calculations with SAP2000, STRUDL, SASSI, ANSYS, and LS-DYNA, and participate in design reviews, construction coordination, and field verification.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Seven+ years on a project team designing and analyzing structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and design codes.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel and concrete design to projects.
• Prepare and review design calculations and specifications; guide junior staff.
• Perform structural analysis of safety-related structures under seismic and other loads.
• Travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews and field verification.
