Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead design and analysis for nuclear facility projects. You will guide junior team members, review designs, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers to deliver safe, code-compliant structures.

You will apply knowledge of materials, structural analyses, steel and concrete design, and utilize modern software tools; travel for design reviews and field coordination may be required where applicable.

Qualifications

Essential: BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering (ABET accredited).
Seven+ years on a project team for design and analysis of structures.
Proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS).
Proficiency with design codes and standards (ASCE 7, AISC, ACI).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team of structural engineers and interface with other disciplines.
Guide work of less experienced project team members.
Prepare and review design calculations, develop specifications, and support drawing development.
