Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead design and analysis for nuclear facilities, applying expertise in steel frames, concrete members, and foundations. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and guide junior engineers on project deliverables.

Essential qualifications include a BS in Civil Engineering (ABET), 7+ years in structural design, proficiency with STAAD/SAP2000/ANSYS, and knowledge of ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• 7+ years of experience in structural design/analysis on projects
• Proficiency with STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL or ANSYS
• Proficiency with ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of steel frames, concrete members, and foundations for nuclear facilities
• Prepare and review design calculations and specifications; support designers
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team; mentor junior team members
• Travel to client/vendor offices or plant sites for design reviews and field verification
