Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a senior professional to lead fire protection and emergency preparedness at NRC-regulated facilities. You will implement programs, design drills, and ensure regulatory compliance across sites, interfacing with NRC and state agencies.

Strong leadership and communication are essential for success. The role requires a Bachelor’s in science or engineering and extensive experience in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline.
• One of the following experience paths: 5+ years developing emergency response programs at a regulated facility; or 15+ years supporting emergency response programs in a regulated environment.
• U.S. work authorization; export control requirements apply; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Fire Protection and Emergency Preparedness Programs across multi-licensed facilities, incorporating NRC regulations, NFPA codes and AHJ requirements.
• Lead a team of employees and contract personnel supporting fire protection and emergency preparedness programs.
• Design and execute site drills and exercises demonstrating emergency response capability and readiness of programs, procedures, personnel, and equipment.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for fire protection and life safety programs; ensure ongoing facility compliance with NFPA and related codes.
• Oversee EP program performance across sites by ensuring training currency, drill completion, and maintenance of EP equipment and supplies.
• Develop and manage program systems and compliance frameworks translating complex regulations into operational processes.
• Support licensing activities related to EP and FP, interfacing with NRC, state agencies, ANI, and FM Global inspectors.
