Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior electrical engineer to design, modify, and analyze electrical systems for nuclear power plants. You will work with a project team on design change packages, calculations, and vendor reviews to ensure reliability and performance.

This hybrid role requires an ABET‑accredited electrical engineering degree and 5+ years of industrial power systems experience. You will interface with clients, travel to sites, and support installation activities to meet project scope

Qualifications

ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
5+ years of electrical design experience for industrial/power plant applications.
Experience with equipment selection, design change packages, calculations and specifications.
Experience with low/medium voltage distribution systems (transformers, generators, motors, relays).

Responsibilities

Prepare and review engineering design change packages to install/upgrade equipment.
Prepare and review detailed electrical calculations (short circuit, cable ampacity, voltage drop, breaker coordination).
Prepare and review procurement specifications and support vendor questions.
Interface with project team, client, and vendors; attend client meetings and site walkdowns.
Travel to client/vendor sites for reviews and field verification; support site installation activities.
