Job summary

Sargent & Lundy, based in the United States, seeks an experienced electrical engineer to join a project team designing, modifying, and analyzing nuclear power plant electrical systems. You will prepare design change packages, perform power studies, coordinate with vendors and clients, and help ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The role requires an ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree and 7+ years of plant electrical design experience.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree is required.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical design of plant electrical systems.
• Experience with equipment selection, design change packages, calculations and specifications.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems (low/medium voltage) for industrial plants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design change packages for equipment upgrades to ensure reliability.
• Perform and review power studies, short circuit, voltage drop, and protection settings.
• Prepare procurement specifications and participate in vendor bid reviews.
• Interface with project team members and clients, and support site installation activities.
