Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to contribute to nuclear power plant systems design. The role includes preparing or reviewing drawings, conducting engineering analyses, and supporting plant modifications and operation.

You will interact with clients, develop cost estimates, and lead project teams across site visits and presentations, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work three days per week.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regs for nuclear plant mechanical design.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Modify packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Prepare or review functional mechanical drawings for nuclear plant systems.
• Perform engineering analyses to support plant modifications and operation.
• Develop or review technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Study options for modifications to operating nuclear plants and present findings.
