Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Nuclear Power Group in the United States. The role focuses on designing, modifying, and analyzing power plant electrical systems within a project team, providing detailed calculations and engineering analyses.

You will collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure projects meet client requirements, budgets, and schedules, while leveraging modern tools and best practices.

Qualifications

• A BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required.
• 3 or more years of experience designing electrical engineering systems in a project team environment.
• Experience with electrical system design including medium and low voltage distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the electrical engineering lead or project manager, work in a project team environment designing, modifying, and analyzing power plant electrical systems.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare and review calculations such as three phase AC/DC power studies, short circuit, voltage drop, motor starting and protective relay settings.
