Job summary

ENERCON's Nuclear Services Group is seeking Principal Electrical Components Engineers to serve as recognized Subject Matter Experts supporting critical nuclear plant electrical components. This position can be based in any ENERCON office or remote within the United States.

Candidates should demonstrate SME-level expertise in one or more areas such as Emergency DC power systems, transformers, generators/AVR, MV and LV distribution, and provide technical leadership, design support, and mentoring

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering required.
10+ years in power generation, utility, industrial, or nuclear electrical systems.
SME-level expertise in one or more listed components.
Experience with lifecycle management or reliability for electrical power components.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
PE license or ability to obtain license required/desired.
Familiarity with IEEE, NFPA, NEMA, ANSI, and EPRI guidance.
Experience with equipment replacement, startup testing, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for electrical components and power distribution systems, supporting design modifications and lifecycle projects.
Perform root cause analyses and equipment performance evaluations; recommend reliability improvements.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to nuclear utility clients and present findings to leadership.
Provide technical direction and mentoring to engineers, with independent work within set guidelines.
