Job summary

ENERCON's Nuclear Services Group seeks Principal Electrical Components Engineers to serve as SMEs for critical nuclear plant electrical components. This role can be remote within the United States or based in any ENERCON office.

Candidates will demonstrate SME-level expertise in one or more areas such as emergency power systems, transformers, generators, or medium and low voltage distribution, and will lead lifecycle management, reliability improvements, and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in power generation, utility, industrial, or nuclear electrical systems.
• PE license or ability to obtain.
• Experience with lifecycle management and reliability for electrical power components.
• Familiarity with IEEE, NFPA, NEMA, ANSI, and EPRI guidance.
• Travel up to 10% for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for electrical components and power distribution systems.
• Perform root cause analyses and reliability improvements.
• Engage with nuclear utility clients as a trusted advisor.
• Mentor and train engineers; lead projects independently.
