Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer for NSSS Mechanical Systems Engineering. You will perform design, review and testing activities on the nuclear steam supply system, ensuring compliance with nuclear codes, standards and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with a multi-discipline team, prepare technical documents, and support domestic and international licensing efforts while developing training qualifications and maintaining safety culture.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering (Nuclear or Mechanical) with ABET accreditation.
• Minimum 5 years of full-time relevant professional experience; strong communication and writing skills.
• Knowledge of ASME Codes and Standards and 10 CFR Part 50; Nuclear utility/plant experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review NSSS systems and components and ensure design, inspection, and testing requirements.
• Prepare, check, and review engineering reports, drawings, calculations and specifications.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on complex tasks and support licensing efforts.
