Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC in the United States is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 2 to contribute to the NSSS Appurtenance team designing ASME BPVC Section III components and related interface parts for the NuScale Power Module. You will prepare and review drawings, calculations, and scopes of work, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex design challenges.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (ABET-accredited) required.
  • EIT is desired.
  • 2 years of nuclear or related mechanical engineering experience required.
  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development and review of drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, and scopes of work for NSSS mechanical components.
  • Perform and check engineering evaluations per NuScale procedures.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve technical problems.
  • Support development and implementation of design specifications processes.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
