Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer 3 to join the NSSS Appurtenance team. You will prepare, check and review reports, specifications, drawings, calculations and other design deliverables for NSSS mechanical components used in the NuScale Power Module.

You will work with system engineers and other design disciplines to resolve complex challenges, support proof‑of‑concept and qualification testing, and assist licensing efforts for domestic and international regulatory

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering (ABET).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings, specifications, reports, calculations and scopes of work for NSSS mechanical components.
• Understand NSSS systems and applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with system engineers and other design teams.
• Provide technical oversight of vendor scopes and reviews.
• Support proof-of-concept and component qualification testing.
• Collaborate with Licensing for regulatory efforts.
• Promote coordination across disciplines to resolve design issues.
