Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking an experienced engineer for the NSSS Mechanical Systems Engineering group. The role focuses on the NuScale Power Module System Design, including design, inspection, and testing of NSSS components in accordance with industry codes and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Manager, NSSS System Design, you will collaborate with multiple disciplines to develop fluid systems and components, review engineering documents and support licensing scope development.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Nuclear/Mechanical/Chemical) from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Minimum 5 years of full-time, relevant professional experience.
• Solid technical writing, organizational and project management skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate various plant systems to define design, performance, inspection and testing requirements.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, specifications, drawings and calculations.
• Collaborate with project engineers and other disciplines to coordinate design activities.
• Develop NSSS system design specifications and support licensing scope development.
• Travel nationally as required for business needs.
