Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to lead NSSS component and system design efforts for the nuclear steam supply system. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, development of design solutions, and mentorship of less experienced engineers in a regulated environment.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of nuclear experience, strong technical writing and communication skills, and familiarity with ASME Codes and 10 CFR 50.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent required.
• P.E. license in Mechanical or Nuclear is desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of nuclear experience with strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ASME Codes and 10 CFR 50; domestic licensing experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead NSSS component and system design activities.
• Review and prepare engineering specs, drawings, and calculations.
• Act as technical lead for vendor design of NSSS components; coordinate with partners and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with nuclear standards.
