Job summary

Koniag IT Services, Inc is seeking a highly skilled NOC Tier 3 Technician to support a government customer from Washington, DC. This hybrid role requires on-site presence four days a week and a Public Trust eligibility.

You will lead the most complex network incidents, mentor junior staff, and drive solution design, incident management, and documentation within a 24/7 NOC environment. Competitive benefits accompany a senior-level opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• 7+ years in network ops, engineering, or sys admin
• 5+ years in 7x24x365 NOC or mission-critical ops environment
• Senior escalation point for complex issues
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise networks
• Advanced certifications such as CCNP/CCNP Security/JNCIP or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Serve as final escalation point for complex Tier 1/2 incidents
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical outages and issues
• Perform root cause analyses and implement preventive measures
• Provide technical leadership to junior NOC staff
• Design and implement network optimization, automation, and performance improvements
• Develop and maintain NOC procedures and runbooks
• Mentor Tier 1/2 technicians during critical incidents
• Participate in Major Incident Management calls
• Coordinate changes with CAB and during maintenance windows
• Monitor capacity and traffic patterns, optimize network health
