Job summary

System One, Washington, DC, is seeking a NOC Technician to join a direct-hire, on-site team. The role requires 7+ years in network operations and a ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

You will work a 4-day on-site schedule and 40-hour weeks, coordinating with engineering, security, and systems administration to resolve major incidents. Responsibilities include leading incident management calls, performing advanced troubleshooting, and developing runbooks while mentoring junior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in network operations, engineering, or systems administration.
• 7x24x365 NOC or mission-critical environment experience.
• Senior escalation point for complex technical issues.
• CCNP or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the final escalation point for complex incidents requiring advanced technical expertise.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical network outages and performance issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop preventive measures.
• Provide technical leadership to junior NOC technicians during incidents.
• Design and implement network optimization, automation, and performance improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and implement changes.
