Job summary

Leidos is seeking a NOC/SOC Shift Lead for the Langley AFB site in Virginia. The role blends NOC and SOC duties to supervise after-hours network operations, incident triage, and monitoring, with a focus on ensuring continuity with day-shift teams.

You will lead a small team, coach junior technicians, and own the shift-turnover process. The position requires daily on-site work, a TS/SCI clearance, and an IAT Level II certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or Master’s with 2+ years of experience.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE) preferred.
• 4+ years hands-on experience in IT security or network operations with leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize incidents and lead a small team with limited supervision.
• Working proficiency with enterprise SIEM/EDR and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior point of contact for 2nd shift NOC/SOC and ensure adequate coverage.
• Oversee SIEM and network dashboards to detect threats and outages.
• Lead incident triage, direct diagnostics, and contain anomalies.
• Own escalation to Tier 2/3 and author shift handover reports.
• Oversee routing, connectivity issue resolution, backups, and patch management.
• Coach and train junior NOC/SOC technicians and review tickets/reports.
